It all started when…

… the community chanted “Save our Starbucks” after the international chain decided to move a mile down the road. There were calls for a community gathering space and a place for kids to gather and study after school. The Center heard the cries of our community and has decided to act.

A cup of coffee and great conversation changes… EVERYTHING

The Center Cup is Itasca’s first and only non-profit coffee shop. It exists to foster conversations to connect and unify our community. By choosing our coffee and pre-packaged baked goods, you are taking the first step in healing our fractured world. 

Did you know taking time to nurture relationships is just as important as exercising or eating healthy? A lack of social connection and face-to-face conversation can be detrimental to your health, leading to loneliness and even depression. Remember we are social creatures by habit. Sharing our stories and experiences with each other is as vital to our wellness and happiness as to the person you are listening to. 

The Cup is a coracle of The Center which is committed to connecting everyone, everyday and in every way to Jesus. It’s why any resources after expenses are invested to educate, counsel, train and heal those who have been undone by life. We specifically support other local nonprofits who help those with trauma, abuse and addiction.
